We accept submissions continuously.

 

We are currently accepting articles for future issues of Cahiers métiers d'art ::: Craft Journal. Each article is submitted to a peer jury for evaluation and only those accepted by the jury are published.

 

ESSAYS

We accept submissions for essays presenting craft history research and papers on technical or critical approaches to craft production or craft practices. These essays should be at minimum 2500 words. References, footnotes or endnotes should follow a recognized style. A bibliography must be included, as well as a short biography of the author (maximum 150 words). You can include up to 6 photographs to illustrate your essay, each clearly identified (including the name and place of residence of the photographer). You must obtain all required authorizations for the reproduction of these photographs in the Journal prior to submitting your article.

 

REVIEWS

You my also submit book or exhibition reviews of a minimum of 850 words accompanied by a short author biography (maximum 75 words). For the books you need to include the complete bibliographical entry; for the exhibitions, indicate where and when the exhibition took place, as well as the names of curators, organisers and artists.
